He works in a cubicle, brags about work and all the connections his wife and have. In reality, he makes less money than me and has a master's and is anchored to an unemployed horse. Bragged about banging fillies, married a horse. That was the joke I tried to make last weekend but was too drunk to type out.

If he throws 96mph, I'm good with it. We didn't need 6 OF and we desperately need pitchers who can eat innings.

If you thought we were starting 2017 with LoCain & Dyson, you weren't being realistic. I thought 80% Dyson gets dealt 20% Cain.

I think value we got as decent. This has nothing to do with how much I like Dyson...But what his trade value is.
A guy with a 4.00 ERA .390 Slug allowed .320 OBP allowed as a starter...Is good value to project as a #5 starter next year and #4/5 starter in 2018.

Melting down over a non everyday player is kinda weird to me. Let Dayton do his thing. It's how we got here. I know he's likeable AF and I'll miss his swagger, but we just turned a later round draft pick into value for the team.

WC he was drafted by Allan Baird. His draft slot is completely meaningless at this point. And I don't think you understand the beef. This is a 3 Million dollar salary dump. We traded from a place of strength to fill a role that can EASILY be filled by a crap level FA or just a nobody off the street. Do you think Cain and Gordon are each going to play 155 games this year? Prepare to see games where the OF is Merrifield/Soler/Orlando. The part that blows about all this is they are trading valuable pieces in Davis and Dyson to dump salary they poured into Soria, Gordon, Infante, and Young.

And PP there's no logical reason why you can't go into a season with Dyson AND Cain on the roster. And if you're going to trade one, trade Cain and get someone with upside. Not a 29 year old no control 5th starter who can MAYBE eat innings and is coming off his worst season and injury. The Soler trade I can live with because of the upside power potential, but this one blows. Its stupid and its just Dayton having to cover his tracks for the terrible Soria and Gordon deals, and the Glass family becoming cheap with a player that was so far out performing his salary it was insane.

Soler or someone similar takes a piece to aquire. We could find another Karns anywhere off the damn street.

Dyson had way more value as a part of our roster than he did as a trade piece. We're dumping salary without acquiring any prospects, that should make Royals fans furious.

I saw the Dyson deal and thought what the eff. He is very valuable and think of all of those situations that mrzoombiya got us out of.  He will be truly missed.

I would of liked to keep dyson on the squad and wish we had more of all "All in" mindset for 16/17 but I trust Dayton.

Yes. We've got to really tank the next few years for me not to still be here. I mean, b2b World Series guys.

I 100% understand and am okay with the move. Dyson had more trade value than any of our other back up outfielders, got us a starter for the '17, 18, 19, and '20 season, saved money which it sounds like Glass wants. I just hope that if it looks like we aren't a playoff contender and aren't going to try to sign one of the big guys after this season we fire sale to reload the farm.

Nobody has forgotten about the b2b world series, man. You can still remember and appreciate those and be pissed about the Dyson trade at the same time.

No Chiefs game or any NFL game, so I was little bored and wanted to look at Karns innings.
In his 41 starts in 15-16' the 1st inning gave him the most trouble then the 2nd-5th he was much better
1st inning - 6.80 ERA, 2nd thru 5th inning- 2.79 ERA

Looked at Ventura and his 93 career starts, just for a comparison. His 1st inning was his best, 2nd thru 5th were all pretty comparible. 1st inning - 3.19 ERA, 2nd to 5th - 4.08 ERA

3.61 for Karns 3.89 for Ventura (innings 1-5)
Now Karns wasn't  as good in the 6th-8th because his overall ERA is 4.00 (his ERA is just over 7 in 23.2 Innings). Ventura has a much better 3.97 ERA in 102 innings from 6th inning on

1 thing Karns will have to improve is his 3rd time thru the lineup.  In his career starts, he is solid first 2x thru the lineup.

Karns first 2 times thru lineup -- .229 Ave & .680 OPS allowed
Duffy(1st 2x thru) starts in 2016 season  -- .229 Ave & .674 OPS allowed

3rd/4th time thru -- Karns .295 Ave .896 OPS, Duffy .255 Ave .818 OPS
