I will probably sell mine in like February and then buy one for $300 less than what I sold mine for ten minutes before the game

I was just thinking, if I were Alex Gordon, I think I'd want to sign with the Cubs.

Reasons:
1. He's already a part of the most beloved team in Royals history, you win with the Cubs, you become a part of the most beloved team there too. Ask a Red Sox fan about anyone on the 2004 team sometime.
2. Get to live in Chicago in the summer, play tons of day games at Wrigley (off of work at like 6:30, perfect)
3. No one expects you to carry the team (Bryant and Rizzo are expected to do that)
4. Get to play for Joe Maddon (complete stud)
5. National League (easier of the two leagues)
6. Watch his true love Royals play 2016 World Series games with 8mp and friends at Toon's Bar.
If not KC, go to the Cubs Alex
:adios:

Can't argue with this logic...although all A1 would do with his evenings off is lift more weights.

I still think Alex stays after he gets his 7 year itch out of the way....he would be a nice anchor to bridge '18 and maybe even 2nd half of '17...kind of like Pappi is doing in Boston now.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

You guys wanna know something funny? Someone voted Kendrys 4th in the AL MVP voting. I love Kendrys, but I wouldn't have voted him 4th on the Royals in MVP Voting.

My Ballot 1-10 I think would go:
Cain
Hosmer
Perez
Moustakas
Davis
Escobar
Volquez
Gordon (even with the limited games)
Morales
Herrera
Young

I'd vote Escobar #1. Everyone in that top 10 list is damned good, though.

Hos and Cain are 1A and 1B for me, but that list is otherwise accurate.

Escobar had some really really long really really bad stretchs at the plate. Cain and Hos never did. Just mini-slumps here and there

FWIW... Hos played in 18 more games than Cain this year. After further consideration Hos is definitely my #1.

Hos was a clutch RBI machine. his mini slumps didn't ever seem to matter. he knew when to turn it on and when to coast I think. Hos clear cut 1.

Scene: guy comes up to you and wants to kick your ass. You suck at fighting. Who would you have fight for you from gE the Royals?!

1. Salvy
2. Moose
3. Gomes
4. Cain
5. Paulo

though I think Salvy would be really good at just tackling the other guy and holding him on the ground

Hos was a clutch RBI machine. his mini slumps didn't ever seem to matter. he knew when to turn it on and when to coast I think. Hos clear cut 1.

Both had really good seasons, but Cain had more doubles, steals, runs, a higher batting average, a higher slug, higher OPS, higher OPS+, and more triples. In the end, at the plate they were pretty similar, and a case could be made for either, however Cain plays a much more premium defensive position at a super high level, so that's why I'd give the edge to him.
