like 99% of those idiots picked a national league team to win it

The only 3 who chose AL teams picked the White Sox, the Indians, and the Mariners.

Did anyone notice that Cueto seemed to be disappointed he wouldn't be pitching on Tuesday?

Not really. Him smiling while he leaned his leg over the rail of the dugout waiting for the final out was quite entertaining though.

watching that was one of my favorite moments of the evening.

So glad the golf benefit was cancelled today. I slept for 3 hours!
I also re watched the last 4 innings.
Dyson... on his first dive back to the bag.
Still no way Hosmer should have went.
Harvey sitting in the dugout, thinking, well son-of-a-bitch!
My only tear was from the homemade video of Sal getting Ned. That was awesome.

makes perfect sense why he went.  do you have better odds of an errant throw to home plate or Gordon getting a base hit off of Familia?

i still can't believe that many people own fireworks

In the middle of Wornall at 74th, a dude was just launching motars out of a mortar launcher thing. Like he'd launch one, walk away, launch one, walk away, repeat for like 45 minutes. Cops were like "man that was a good one" each time

I probably high fived CF3 in the middle of Wornall last night and didn't even know it  :surprised:

Do you guys think that people will be out there tonight staking out their spots with their chairs and blankets and stuff?  Basically, I am wondering if it's a lost cause to even attempt to get out there really early (e.g. 8am) and try and plop down some chairs to try and stake out a spot to watch the parade.  Thoughts?

I would say the odds are a lot better for Gordon to get a hit, but I really don't know much about Duda.

Sly was saying, on the radio, that the planing committee expects 200k.  He also said that if you don't have a plan, don't come downtown.

Others telling me that chairs and blankets are a no no.

That estimate was BEFORE every school district in the region cancelled.  KCMO cancelled at the last minute today, under pressure.  No way they factored that in.

On 610 they said that the cops were not allowing backpacks, but the official site merely seems to discourage it.  Either way, it doesn't look like a very "convenient" way to spend 5 hours waiting for the parade to start.    :frown:
