Also, do Sal. I want to hear you talk about Salvy, especially his smile.

Moms everywhere love Sal and his adorable smile. I love his adorable smile too, but I'm not sure if I love it on my own or if it's because Mom's know best and I know that I should follow their lead, but that's neither here nor there. I don't waste too much time trying to figure it out. I just know that that man has a beautiful grin, or maybe my mom does, I'm not sure at this point. All I know is wow, that smile, and he is great at baseball things. Great enough to get an mvp trophy, which I think was voted on by Moms.

Like, he smiles and then I smile. Involuntarily. I can't help it. I want to give him a hug.

Still no way Hosmer should have went.

makes perfect sense why he went.  do you have better odds of an errant throw to home plate or Gordon getting a base hit off of Familia?

it's starting to piss me off how everyone is saying that hosmer would have been out with a good throw from duda.  he'd have probably been out with a good throw from both wright and duda.  with the throw that wright actually made and then a good throw from duda it'd have been about 50:50 at best that the catcher could spin and get a tag down on a hosmer diving to the outside corner of the plate.  there's a decent frame x frame analysis at baseball prospectus that shows this fairly clearly.

The Royals did win all 7 of those games, unless ESPN is lying. Assuming those percentages are accurate, the odds of coming back and winning all of those 7 games are 1 in 34.7 million. It's a pretty meaningless stat, though.

you prolly should google probabilities or some such keyword.

You are just trying to come up with the probability of a different event occurring than I am.

good lord, rage.

Terrance Gore, let's face it, he probably will never hit or defend will enough to be an everyday player, or even a Orlando/Dyson type.

don't be so positive on gore never making it to the majors.  his ob% in double a improved a ton this year in aa.  with his speed, if he can just get to where he can consistently get a bunt down and protect the plate well enough to draw a walk he could stay on the bench as a dyson guy.  he can already do that in aa, he just needs to keep improving enough to be able to do it against mlb pitchers as well.

Chris Young

I freaking love this guy.

i really hope they resign him.

Bringing Chris back is a must, IMO. He can start, he can relieve, and he's a team guy. Pure Royal.

BTW this "at least we stole the show song" that was on the TV bumps might end up being the song they play at my funeral.

Driving away from downtown this morning for work, might have been one of the saddest feelings/moments I've ever had as a human being. Have fun, guys!
