it's plausible that his family and team decided not to tell him, but that he saw it on twitter or somewhere before the game anyways.  no evidence to support that possibility, but it's plausible.

It doesn't matter to me, I would just like to know which it is.  Assuming that Volquez is okay with the public knowing which it is.

Yea, Eddy didn't act like someone who knew during the game. I tend to believe Ned.

Plus ESPN has the motive of trying to make Fox look bad (as if they need help, but still) because Fox chose not to report the death while Eddy was in the game.

They said in the post game that his family was in the clubhouse waiting for him and he met with them when he got pulled.

my guess is that he knew but ned didn't think he did. a friend or family member or someone relayed the info to him on his way to the stadium or whatever. he was pretty stoic during the game last night. not a lot of smiles, etc.

Yes. Winning tonight would help us win the World Series. We would need to win less games going forward, and they would still have to win the same, but with less games to do it. So if we keep winning that would be good to win the World Series.
