i mean, does it matter?

also, i feel like if he knew, he would have paid some tribute to his father in the game with like writing on his hat or something. then theres ned talking to him when he left and it wasnt a hug or anything, it was a conversation that probably went like this "something has happened. you need to go see dayton in the office."
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

You can believe an espn source or ned

it's plausible that his family and team decided not to tell him, but that he saw it on twitter or somewhere before the game anyways.  no evidence to support that possibility, but it's plausible.

It doesn't matter to me, I would just like to know which it is.  Assuming that Volquez is okay with the public knowing which it is.

I agree with your observation of the interaction after he got pulled.

Yea, Eddy didn't act like someone who knew during the game. I tend to believe Ned.

Plus ESPN has the motive of trying to make Fox look bad (as if they need help, but still) because Fox chose not to report the death while Eddy was in the game.

They said in the post game that his family was in the clubhouse waiting for him and he met with them when he got pulled.

my guess is that he knew but ned didn't think he did. a friend or family member or someone relayed the info to him on his way to the stadium or whatever. he was pretty stoic during the game last night. not a lot of smiles, etc.

The Mets have to win 4 games out of 6. That is comforting.

AJ, the Royals have to play .500 baseball over the next 6 (3 home, 3 away) and we win the world series.

what if we only have to win 2 of 5 to win the world series? that could actually be a thing after tonight. I like those odds.

Yes. Winning tonight would help us win the World Series. We would need to win less games going forward, and they would still have to win the same, but with less games to do it. So if we keep winning that would be good to win the World Series.

I like winning more games than we lose. However that happens is what I want.
