cueto may be distracted by his looming free agency but the distraction isn't the reason why he's not pitching well.
the dude has brain worms and has been a failure in the post season throughout his entire career.
i'll give him credit though for deflecting his post-season sucking to his pending free agency though.  crafty little devil, our johnny is.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Can we talk about his velocity? How has he been so successful averaging 92 mph over the years? I understand all of the movement he has on his pitches and what a struggle that must be for hitters, but he's very average velocity wise.
he's been successful, because, like all successful pitchers, he can place pitches.  until he can't, then he sucks.

Theory: "distractions" are not affecting his pitching. He's a pro and forgets it all when he's on the mound.

i dont like the shimmy and stuff in the early innings. just pitch and get guys out, then get cute when youre dealing and theyve seen you before.

2015 Playoff HR in MMP, Kauffman overlay

Royals hit 4 of those...all but one would have been out OF Kauffman. (the center to right field ones).  Salvy's to LF wouldn't have been.

Damn it, I was counting their dumb flagpole.....half of royals dongs would have been gone at Kauffman, NONE of Houston's would have been (ultimately my point).  Really butchered that.

That's kinda misleading. Some of not most of those homers to left only went as far as it shows because of the stupid wall they have past left in their stupid dome.

I didn't think any were either which piqued my interest to see where those would have been at Kauffman.
