Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

i wish mlb would do a "mic'd up" like nfl.  would love to hear what hos talks to baserunners about over at 1st base.  same w/ sal paris behind home plate.

I do too

same.

NFL mic'd up sucks. It's just guys running and going "HUUUUUAHAHAHA! Good play baby! A! I'm a be here all day" so some variation

It would be well-deserved IMO.

i think medlen probably quieted those thoughts tonight.  even though he still had problems with his control, especially early.

the control problems may have been wind-aided, tho.

i decided against it.  pitchers traditionally aren't eligible for moose and i don't want to establish a precedent.

I'm glad we decided to win this game.  I don't really trust hoch any more.

Young if he's off, elevates, and the ball goes over the wall. I love the big guy but it would terrify me

he should be better. the hope is that the starter can go 5, get a lead, and we go Duff/Madson/Herrera/Davis.

in relief he does.  i'd still like to see how fast guthrie could do in one inning.

Are we just BITB at turning starters into stud relievers or do other teams not try it that often?

i'd like it better if they went six and cut herrera out of the loop (although yost wouldn't).

Herrera hasn't been as good as last year, but is still very good.

he was great until a month ago.  since then he's been bad.

i just looked at herrera's numbers.  he was bad for september overall, but he's back to pretty good for the last two weeks.  also his september babip was pretty high, so maybe it was partly bad luck.

so i'm putting him back in the trusted reliever file, but he's bumped down to the 6th.  hdmd.
