so like, we are tied with Toronto and they have the tiebreaker, so obviously we do not have a "magic number" with them. except we totally do. and it's 4. baseball is so weird.

i heard Frank White (who was fired from being a baseball analyst) on 810 yesterday saying the Rangers are scary because they hit a lot of home runs and you don't want to trade HR for HR in a game with them, because guys like Fielder and Beltre and Andrus can pop one at any time.

so i looked it up. these are all 5 of Texas' qualified hitters:
Fielder: 23 HR
Mitch Moreland (?): 23 HR
Shin Soo Choo: 21 HR
Beltre: 17 HR
Andrus: 7 HR

overall as a team the Rangers have hit 167 HR (12th in MLB)

a) he didn't say he was fired for being bad.

To the Rangers, I like the matchup, but any LH starter scares me. Hamels in Game 1 would stress me out, but we're a better team and I'd expect us to win

Hamels is kinda scary, seeing as we struggle with lefties and changeups. Other than them being hot at the moment I'm not terribly scared with the matchup.
