the thing about Frank is that he's absolutely the worst interview/analyst.
he's terrible on 810. i liked him on TV, because he was good at breaking down a play and mechanics of fielding/hitting etc, but when he tries to talk about the Royals on a macro scale, its pretty bad
he just doesn't offer any valuable insight - just canned, general, baseball-speak blather.
Frank, talk to us about the manager's dilemma in replacing Greg Holland with Wade Davis - it's got to be difficult for a guy like Ned given Greg's contributions over the past several seasons.
Well, Kevin, you know it's important to have a good closer because games are often won or lost in the ninth inning and davis has been really good, but Holland has also been very good when healthy. but, you know, it's also important to have a good offensive production and good defense. so, if the Royals execute in these areas, they've got a real chance to do some positive things in the postseason.
