GD Toronto, can't you just lay down for a game!

if the royals can break the curse of danks, they could actually be back in the one seed race.  but with minnesota now out of the question, i don't know if it's even worth getting anymore.

I'd still rather have 4 at the K vs Toronto in the ALCS. Plus a shot at perhaps the Angels in the ALDS.

i'm pretty persuaded by rany's argument against home field advantage in a 7 game series.

re. the wildcard opponent, i don't think laa is a better opponent just because the royals happened to beat them in the regular season.  i'd be more persuaded by the chance of missing their best pitcher.  but on the other hand, with all the possibilities of ties and races going down to the last game, i don't know if houston/laa are even lining up their aces to pitch the wc game.  and i still would prefer not to face houston and their stable of lefties.

I agree, I don't want to see Houston either. LA, then NY, then Houston.

I get Rany's point, but any possibility of 7 games vs Toronto and I want home field. I think if either team is likely to win in less than 7 games, it's them.

But it is playoff baseball, you never know.

i wish mlb would do a "mic'd up" like nfl.  would love to hear what hos talks to baserunners about over at 1st base.  same w/ sal paris behind home plate.

they did that in one of the playoff games v baltimore.  it was pretty boring stuff.  but maybe he's a more dynamic conversationalist when not mic'd.
