The idea that BABIP is a luck based stat is stupid FYI. Maybe BABIP on rocket hard line drives or something.
It isn't an entirely luck based stat by any means, but there is a ton of variance in small sample sizes and you can be on the unlucky end of that. Ventura isn't likely to continue to turn hitters into Ted Williams while runners are on. It will regress to a reasonable level, and everyone will talk about how Yordano has gotten himself back on track.
