the lineup just isn't the same without morales (and gordon).

Whoever pitched the 8th would have been a better option than dusty

Nix = 6 Ks in 8 ABs

Dipsh•t Dusty = 3 Ks 5 ABs, base running error

Bring Chester back up. Moose can play 2nd if Infante ever got hurt for the game

In hindsight, if we were gonna lose that game, I would lose there, and not in 12-13 and tax the bullpen more.

And if we were gonna lose, I am glad Dusty got exposed as a career minor leaguer and I hope he doesn't sleep well tonight. He's been in like 4 MLB games and been a moron in 1 and worthless crap in another.

I don't want Chris Young in the playoffs. I want Cueto/Duffy/Volquez/Ventura. Get Cueto, let Guts be 5th starter the rest of the year. Either Young or Blanton get Chen'd.

Young isn't even close to getting Chen'd.  He had a top 30 ERA for a starter entering today.

volkie, medsie, dick duffy, traded guysie.

if ventura comes back strong, dick duffy would be a great left-handed option in the pen.  if medlen doesn't prove capable of starting, then young (hopefully rested and healthy) stays in the rotation.  otherwise he's a great giant option in the pen.

If you're referring to Dusty, he K'd in a key situation. And looked miserable doing it.

hot takes:

we got more out of young than anyone expected I think. long relief come september should be his role.

good to have early season rios back.

I'm trying not to get excited about medlen but I'm not doing a very good job of it.

hos back over .300 after slumping for too long. so that's good.

this AL Central lead tho, so cushy.

when we were in the series and had to play stupid NL rules and so billy sat it was like no big whoop. when we get there this year it's going to be absolutely awful and unfair.

That's gonna be alright as we have home field advantage when we get there :gocho:

Last night was the first time all season we lost and I didn't even care a little bit. This weekend's Houston series is 1000x bigger than 1 game in STL with BS rules.

Young has one more start to get his crap together and then it's Medlen Time.

Hot take: Has Dyson developed into such a clutch hitter that teams are pitching around him in crucial situations? I think so. :surprised:

I don't want Ventura unless he starts pitching better than Young.

I don't want to give up crap for young talent for cueto though. like, I've fully convinced myself that we are building this thing for the long haul. remember all those yankees teams from before you were born and all those world serieses they won back then? that's us now and for the rest of our lives. but we will do it with our stud farm systems and hitting on like 95% of our draft picks and really smart trades and junk.

maybe that's just my defective royals genes though, always wanting to stockpile young talent and whatever. like, that's been shoved down my throat for my entire life so I just think that's the best? it should be opposite day on that though, because we sucked for my entire life doing that until just now.
