The Pirates letting us trade Omar for Salvy at 1st base was the best thing they could've done for us that inning. Hit & run and squeeze aren't possible with Salvy on the bases.

@WC08:

I'm fine with everything about how they handled Ventura. Fine with them sending him down, fine with them bringing him right back. Yesterday I was of the opinion that they should let Blanton go and not send Yordano down, but as we saw, he has value. Having a borderline starter who can come in for 50+ pitches is an asset I think we need for the remainder of the season.

I'm weirdly fine with this going into August. I think we can be fine with what we have, and upgrade maybe a utility infielder, or a corner outfielder. If we don't upgrade those spots, I'm ok there too.

We're playing so tremendously well its hard to nit pick the roster, and Rios/Dyson/Orlando have shown they can be contributors in Gordon's absense.

Really would like someone who can give Infante or Escobar a day off though.

radio guys said they are looking a utility infielder, a right fielder and a starter. not necessarily all big upgrade guys, just the pieces they are looking for. my guess is they trade for one guy that is supposed to be an upgrade and get the other two cheap or on waivers.

He's probably going to command more than the Royals should pay for him, but if they can somehow get him cheap I feel like Zobrist would fit well with this team.
