My comments aren't re. getting taken out today

I'd love nothing more than to revisit them when he's healthy and pitching again 5 days from now

We can already revisit them for all the starts he's made this season to date excluding today. BUT, I'd love that as well pal.

His fastball was at 96-97 out of the windup. It was 92-93 out of the stretch with runners on. Yeah, it's totally his elbow.

where are you seeing that?  mccullough reported that his velocity was down to 93-94 in the 3rd.  the 3rd, not the 2nd.  he only faced one batter with a runner on in the 3rd.

i mean what is even the idea you're tossing out, wc08?  he gives up a couple of two out hits in the 2nd, didn't notice for an inning and then when someone pointed out the score to him in the dugout, he was so overcome with guilt or whatever it is that you think plagues his head that he couldn't start the 4th?

On TV. His velocity didn't go down until he had a runners on. Maybe McCullough is high or something. Being a former pitcher, I watch the radar on every pitch. It definitely tells a story. When he gave up the runs, he was at 93-94 out of the stretch.

well when he gave up runs, that was the 2nd.  he pitched the 3rd, which is the inning where mccullough says his velocity was down and also the last inning he pitched.

sys, you're on "who can we trade for duty"

we trade rios for a 2nd baseman or infante for a right fielder.  no need to trade for a pitcher.  if ventura is down, just plug duffy back in a week earlier.

More issues with RISPs.  0-4 tonight. Had that 1 game vs Kluber, went 4-5.  Other than that,13-81 in last 15 full games.

That's not productive!!

btw, i just eyeballed ventura's splits with runners on.  he's gotten his crap handed to him this year, but not last year.  not sure why he'd develop a mental issue over the winter, so i imagine its just random luck.

while it probably is random luck, i wouldnt completely put a mental issue out of question. unless you have played the game at a high level, its hard to comprehend what the mind can do if you lose your confidence or you experience failure in a way you have never had to before.

the royals are so weird with inventing medical terms.  but that sounds like good news.  i think.

They showed those numbers earlier tonight. I really feel like his early season antics has mind mumped him this year. He's an a phenom for his size and his stuff, but the contract, his antics, etc. Have definitely been playing a role on him this year.

right hand weakness for a right handed pitcher is not a comforting prognosis
