Moose. Total stud/ boss now. There should be more crow eating and praising going on (not here) than there is.

Maybe not crow eating, he deserved most of the criticism he got before this season. But definitely more praising should be going on for a guy who completely changed his approach at the plate.

Is tonight a "must win" ballgame? No.

Will I be v scared if we lose tonight? No.

Do I like our chances tonight more than any other game this series? Yes.

Am I hoping for some weird flu to hit the Tigers but not Royals? Yes.

Do I want that flu to be life threatening? No.

Who do I expect to be the difference for the Royals, offensively, tonight? Moose

Will I hit the "Panic Button" if we are swept? No.

Will you maybe melt down a little bit and perhaps appear to have hit the panic button if we are swept?

I think several of us would. Which is just crazy, because we'd still be 14-11.

I bet we make a trade for a starting pitcher near the break.

Medlen and Zimmer are the options for adding a starter mid-season.  Zimmer is supposed to start throwing in the minors May 10.

I think our best bet at improving the rotation is calling up Kyle Zimmer sometime in June/July.
His arm is still ruined. He's babying it back. This is not happening.

This is the latest I've seen. If he's pitching in the minors in May, I could see him with the Royals for the second half of the season if he performs well.

I just think that's asking a lot for a guy who's never pitched in the majors and coming back from a lengthy surgery, but hey, it could happen.

hoch just had a surgery and people act like he's going to be immediately good despite him only being good in the majors for like 1/5 of his career prior to the surgery

I mean, yeah, but he's kind of a different case. He's had some success in that role, so I just assume when he feels healthy, they'll know he's ready.

He was good 100% of the time he was a reliever SD

I mean, Duffy came back strong from his surgery. So I guess I just compare guys who've spent some time in the majors, who've dealt with injuries, in the same category. I figure they're ready when they're ready.

A guy making a debut in the majors after a comeback from a surgery is a whole different ball park to me.

I think both are somewhat questionable. Some players will come back as good as new. Others will never be the same.

Duffy is facing 9 RHH tonight. Not cool.

Baseball is so funny. When you're in little league and you were a righty, you hated to see a lefty on the hill. They were very rare. At the pro level tho, it's a dream come true.

Not a lot of little leaguers throw breaking balls.

Matthew DeFranks @MDeFranks
Yordano Ventura has dropped his appeal and will begin serving his seven-game suspension tonight. #Royals

Means next start will be next Friday @Detroit

vs Tigers
4/30 Duff
5/1 Young?
5/2 Volquez
5/3 Vargas
vs. Cleveland
5/4 Guts
5/5 Duff
5/6 Young?

Knuckle curve is what they're taught (easier on the arm) and a crap ton of change ups.

What is Duffy vs righties the 1st 2 times through the order? These stats have meaning.
