I'd love to see the streak end, but we're about to watch the most entertaining, and frustrating, collapse of a baseball team in playoff contention (possibly) ever.

(Pre-playoffs). They led by 6-1/2 with 12 games left and didn't win another game. Lost the NL pennant.no one cares

Thought you had enough baseball acumen to see the point--we're nowhere near an epic collapse. No need to think otherwise. No need to panic. We're still quite in it.

This team's place in history means little to me right now.
Tomorrow's game is the biggest game in 29 years. How Shields, Yost, Moore, the Myers trade, Butler (by default), Gordon, and this era of Royals baseball is remembered will be defined.
Billy must play tomorrow. He must. Tomorrow defines this team. Billy's been here the longest, and done the most. Live or die with Billy.

Wouldn't want to live on the difference.
alex has done the most. this is alex's team. if billy wants to make his fat ass useful for the first time in weeks, i'd be all for that, but this is alex's team.
