mocat, I hope you are not being serious about Billy not swinging at bad pitches.  The game I was at, where we left 16 on base, he struct out I think 3 times, and at balls 10 feet in front of the base.

Speaking of runners LOB, anyone have a stat for who leads the league in that catagory?  I bet our Royals are sure the hell up there.

Shields pitching today? Great.......maybe he will hold them to like 1 or 2 runs, through like 8 innings or so. But, we will still have 0 runs scored. This offense is so Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) I can't stand it.  But thats ok, Ned likes small ball and thinks HR's are overrated, right? God, I hate Ned Yost......

We don't deserve to win anything if we can't score more than 2 freaking runs on a regular basis...... :bang:

Take your attitude and shove it. We don't deserve to win anything? We're the Royals, and we deserve greatness.

Beat it PIPE.

CF3.......I am honored

Awaiting the inevitable KITN

Guys, if we lose today, should we give up on the season? Asking for a friend.

no. we just suck against the tigers apparently. except for that three day span where we beat the crap out of them a couple months ago. if we lose tonight i will be melting down hard, but the season won't be over yet.

Fellow #BeRoyalKC people, lets not forget how fun this team can be...

Remember this?

How 'bout this?

Or this?

This?

And this?

Good times for #BeRoyalKC are coming again, and they are coming soon.

And it starts with this:

Of course not. We were out of it in June, bam 10 winning streak. We were out of in in August. Bam Sung Woo mania. This team IS capable of getting hot, but a loss tonight means we'll need to probably sweep the tigers at home (or get that miracle 10th inning comeback in the suspended game) to win the division.

I will not be pleased if they try and rain this out. Detroit has the power to delay the game until the first pitch. They could be real dicks.

according to twitter, it looks like the weather forecast is poor, both teams have an open date 9/18.

One more "rest of the season" breakdown post...

Red Sox - 4 games (0-3 on the season)
White Sox - 7 games (8-4)
Tigers - 4 games (4-11)
Indians - 4 games (7-9)

The Red Sox sweep happened at the arm pit of the season with 2 one run losses. That won't happen again and the Red Sox have been tanking lately. Hopefully a similar benefit as the Rangers coming to town. 3-1.

The Royals have faired well against the White Sox and like the Red Sox they have been tanking down the stretch as well. Another bad team to beat up on. 5-2

The Tigers have owned us. That has to start changing tonight. With 4 games left, the Royals absolutely must split. 2-2.

The Royals have been decent against the Indians, but they have won the last 4 (essentually 5) games against us. That has to change. Winning the road series could be crucial (especially if we only win 1 more vs Detroit). 2-2

12-7 the rest of the way wins the division. I've thought for the last month that 91 wins does it and I still do.

Let's do this.

Yes, that seems like a lot given our ability to score runs lately.

But I'm counting on those games against the Sox. Since August 1, Chicago is 11-24 (.314). Boston is 15-22 (.405). Combined 26-46 (.361).

8-3 against those clowns isn't unreasonable at all, then just go .500 against Detroit and Cleveland.

To break it down even more recently; both Sox teams are 8-17 in their last 25 games, about the same as the awful Rangers (7-18).

Let's go.
