One more "rest of the season" breakdown post...
Red Sox - 4 games (0-3 on the season)
White Sox - 7 games (8-4)
Tigers - 4 games (4-11)
Indians - 4 games (7-9)
The Red Sox sweep happened at the arm pit of the season with 2 one run losses. That won't happen again and the Red Sox have been tanking lately. Hopefully a similar benefit as the Rangers coming to town. 3-1.
The Royals have faired well against the White Sox and like the Red Sox they have been tanking down the stretch as well. Another bad team to beat up on. 5-2
The Tigers have owned us. That has to start changing tonight. With 4 games left, the Royals absolutely must split. 2-2.
The Royals have been decent against the Indians, but they have won the last 4 (essentually 5) games against us. That has to change. Winning the road series could be crucial (especially if we only win 1 more vs Detroit). 2-2
12-7 the rest of the way wins the division. I've thought for the last month that 91 wins does it and I still do.
Let's do this.
