Yeah Holland should totally be our closer instead of Davis. jfc.

It's not broken, just a bit shaky.  I'm still ok with Holland closing.  Until Holland starts blowing saves we should not change it.

I agree. He just makes me pretty nervous lately and Davis has been phenom for a while.

Psychologically the closer role is completely different than the set-up guy.  No telling how Davis would respond to the role or whether he would continue to have the success he's had in the 8th.

holland has been overworked the past month. i guess that comes when you win 19/23 games but if this keeps up we need to pick and choose when we put him in. tonight, was a put someone else in night or let wade pitch two innings night.

it's made me realize how stupid it was not to win all the time before.

Ned basically admitted Holland is overworked in post game. When asked if he'd consider using Wade in the 9th a couple of times a week, he said no. He did say he's got to get Holland some rest. Guess he's just saying he won't consider making a practice of using Wade as the closer twice a week...but might use Wade in the 9th if a particular situation warrants.

if i wanted to rest holland and needed to use someone is a 1 or 2 run game, i think i'd keep davis 8th and run herrera out as the closer.

3 or more, just throw anyone out there and let them flail around until there are three outs.

eiland needs to decide who can take an ounce of late inning pressure. frasor or crow. frasor has closed before and we tried to let him do it a few days ago but ned nedded out and yanked him super early.
