i hope clams is right and he goes to the Cubs. we won't have to play him in the regular season until like 2018 when we suck anyway, and if we see him in the world series, that would be cool with me

If not us, I'm ok with Cubs. Red Sox sure, whatever, but unfortunately they suck and I hate to see Alex on a suck team. Greatest fear: Astros.

dayton and andy don't know everything sundance. there's a lot of corner outfielders available this year, maybe no one offers gordon the contract he's looking for.

I'm still hopeful they meet somewhere in the middle on Gordon. Gordon still has some tread left of the tires, and retiring him as a Royal is worth paying more over a longer contract than the Royals would normally commit to. Retiring as a Royal and a KC legend should also be worth something to Gordon. If you're going to bank over 100mil over your career, how many millions would you leave on the table to retire as a hometown hero?
