Goddammit you guys, can't we enjoy being World Series champs for like, a few more days before we start talking about next year?

How great is it that Sports Illustrated openly mocked MIR?

That match was Kevin Ellis' season in a nice 120 minute package. Solid defense for 117 minutes, scores a great header against a guy seemingly a foot bigger than he is, has a brutal defensive lapse with 3 minutes left of a game we are winning, misses a penalty with a chance to win the match. Kevin Ellis 2015.

Also all of you shitheads browning things up in here, I'm going to eff that Royals thread all the way up when they lose.

I'd rather we use the money it would take to pay Salvy to add players and keep winning instead.

Infante's dead weight contract makes me sad.

In a perfect world, yeah, but no one wants to play for a team that doesn't appear to do right by their players. It's a great idea if you are a GM in MLB: The Show.

If the Salvy contract situation blows up it will get really ugly for us, especially given the perception (reality?) that we are running him into the ground at an unprecedented rate.

I'm not saying give the guy $20M a year, but he needs more than $2 in 2016. The least we could do is guarantee his team options through 2019 (3.8, 5, and 6M) so that an injury doesn't leave him out in the cold. I'd like to see us double his contract for the duration, and guarantee the option years.

If Salvy wants more money, he has to give us more option years on the back end. I'm fine with that.

GMDM has much bigger issues the next two years than restructuring Salvy's deal.

Just now, a man stopped his car, got out and started cheering the blue fountain at Barney Allis Plaza.  Cheering and shouting and hi-fiving the air.

Looking at some of the contracts, it's going to be really hard for the Royals to stay competitive after 2017.

Hos gets traded after 16.

Just a public service announement. Some hero has torrented pretty much every Royals game from the postseason, and they're decent quality (about 5GB each). I downloaded a bunch for posterity. Last night, I rewatched the 8th inning of ALDS Game 4. :excited:

Also, it's amazing to consider that the Astros and Blue Jays (prolly the Rangers, too) were tougher opponents than the Mets.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

it's definitely going to be tough to keep paying more for this team. The drafting and development of starting pitching and the corner positions for the next couple of years is going to be very important. In the meantime, if I'm Dan Glass, I tell Dad and Dayton to do whatever it takes to keep this thing rolling.
The value of this team alone has skyrocketed since they bought it, and that's before we've been able to cash in on a good cable contract.

Looks like the Royals are due to get paid the same year that Salvy is.

Yeah, I don't get the point of not talking about Royals baseball just because they won the World Series.
