there’s also a theory that she was trying to draw a foul but I think that’s debunked if you watch her actions after her shot, she’s motioning to the bench and scorers table as though she knew she messed up

That's right. She's been hidden because Mittie has given Sanchez waaaaaayyyyy too long of a leash, she does not have it for this level. Luckily this hasn't cost us a game and Maupin just snatched those minutes without us having to take a loss to do so.

That's right. She's been hidden because Mittie has given Sanchez waaaaaayyyyy too long of a leash, she does not have it for this level. Luckily this hasn't cost us a game and Maupin just snatched those minutes without us having to take a loss to do so.

I agree on the leash with Sanchez - been a rough stretch of games with her lately. But, I saw some things earlier in the year that make me think she's got potential to be a key contributor down the road. She was big in the UNC win (15 points) and even with playing fairly limited minutes all year, she's still second on the team in rebounding. Probably never great defensively, but I think scoring potential is there.
