27-35 in 2 years in Big 12

Trajectory tho:

2012-13: 2-16
2013-14: 8-10

The people I know are excited about the hire.

What are your people saying about Shalee and Claire?

I thought Currie might take a risk on an unproven assistant coach, nope. This does not bode well for the football hire whenever that may be.

Quote
Mittie, 37, was detained in the Harvey County Detention Center for investigation of DUI early Wednesday morning and was released on a $1,000 bond, Harvey County deputy Keith Blackwood said Wednesday.

The coach's Mitsubishi sports-utility rental was stopped when a Newton, Kan., police officer saw Mittie swerving and turning his headlights on and off while heading south on Interstate 135. He was arrested at 3:50 a.m. and released at 10:10 a.m.

Sounds like a suicide DUI, who in the hell swerves and flashes their lights when drunk at 3 in the mornin.  This guy should get a house with 'te

JFC, Currie tries so damn hard with these out of the box hires. I never thought of him, I'm not sure who did. I don't think it's ever a good look to hire a coach from a major conference that isn't playing in the postseason. I'm going to assume that Jody Adams said no, although I have no idea why she would.

The in conference hire is interesting, whomever TCU hires better not kick our ass. If TCU hires Jody Adams and she beats us I'd encourage everyone to do something drastic.

I don't get what Currie is doing with his hiring. At the time of hire Weber and Mittie were both relatively high risk and low reward but the floor for these guys aren't very low either, it's like trying very hard to accomplish meh.
