Does Mr. Mall still coach the MHS girls team? He'd be a good hire.
He also has some Nemaha Valley in his bloodlines. Would be a great get.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Geno Auriemma is not an option.  Call me crazy if you want.

This is so sexist.   The next thing you are going to tell me is that K-State's mens  and women's basketball coaches should make different amounts of money. :shakesfist:
Hire Brad Underwood Now!!!!!!

If anyone lives in the Hutchinson area or follows NJCAA teams in the state of Kansas, Hutchinson Community College coach John Ontjes should be at least interviewed for the job. He has an undefeated #3 team right now. He played college basketball at Oklahoma and averaged 10.5 ppg in 2 years there. Also with a good team this year, could set up a better recruiting class for the women at least for the next two years.

Is this a damn joke? JFC, why do you guys keep advocating for these terrible candidates? Would you want the men to hire a freaking community college coach? Let WSU hire him after we take Jodi Adams. From the Jayhawk Conference to a high major college basketball program with a devoted fan following and very good history, I mean sheesh guys.  Let's hire Troy Morrill or whatever to replace LHC LHC Bill Snyder too.

Uh, you're the one wanting to organize a rally to hire a 27 year old who's only experience beyond moonlighting between wnba seasons is like 2 years as the second assistant on a losing team.

I don't mean to say that Lehning would be a bad hire or that anyone else should be hired. I'd be pissed if Troy Morill was hired to replace Snyder. I'd also be pissed if Blake Seiler were hired to replace Snyder, which would be equivalent to Lehning IMO.

Granted it depends on the way it is phrased, I don't think there is anything sexist about wanting a good looking coach. To imply that as a guy I can't want a good looking female coach is absurd. Talking about how dreamy our men's players are is nbd, but if you want an attractive female coach you are a sexist pig? give me a rough ridin' break. I want everyone associated with KSU to be good looking.

Sorry MIR

Hahahah no not at all. I just think it is possible to want us to have an attractive head coach for the women's basketball team and it not be sexist. If Gottleib looked like Weber, he wouldn't have gotten a rally outside of Bramlage. I think women have come far enough to not be treated with kid gloves. That it is possible to appreciate a woman for her beauty and also respect her ability to be badass at what she does. Yes, you will have your fans that are in the stands solely to fantasize about the players, coaches, (just as their are female fans of men's sports that find the players attractive, desirable, worth fantasizing over) making crap ass remarks and they should be rebuked for doing so fore they are gross and sexist. It is human nature to gravitate towards beauty, I don't think that is inherently wrong or shameful to recognize and admit that.

Wecker.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Wecker.

Oh man

Can someone give a recap of exactly what went down with her?  I didn't follow it closely back then and only really know that a kc star reporter basically said that deb would hold pre meal chapel and the players felt obligated to attend.  Also that wecker was cutoff from the program after she left.

Ok, Shalee can be the head coach and Coggins and Wecker can be the assistants.  I would be able to get behind this.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

I definitely don't want a male coach. Males already have plenty of opportunities to coach.

Not surprising. If we don't hire her though we better not hire another assistant from somewhere else.

Hearing from people back at the old high school that Bill Annan has had an interview.
