odds we end up taking 3 in 11': 80% (if not higher)

if we have 3 scholarships available:
Omari gets a scholly: 75%
that scholly goes to someone else: 25%

if we only have 2 available:
odds Omari gets a scholly: 40%
that scholly goes to someone else:60%

I cannot see any potential scenario where Frank does not put Omari on scholly.

He's kicked off/quits?   :dunno:

What about a scenerio involving the coaches recruiting like we have 3 to give and not giving Omari one because we end up signing 3 better players?

So we have to boot someone else to take him in 11? or do we have 1 left for 11?  sorry.

there is 1 'ship left for '11, assuming lawrence gets an '11 ship.  however, jeffrey has indicated that the staff is looking at taking two.

thx.

I'd love a Buchi type situation with Juevol.

Frank scouting Diaz in person:

"Diaz watched by some big teams: Word is getting out even more about 7-foot center Adrian Diaz of Gold Coast with Kansas State's Frank Martin and Florida State assistant Andy Enfield just two of the coaches keeping an eye on Court 2 Wednesday evening.

Diaz, from Hialeah (Fla.) Hialeah-Miami Lakes, was much better Tuesday night than Wednesday but still showed some of the skills that have set him apart in this tournament - good passing from the post, running the floor well in transition and the ability to alter and block shots."

If the Canadian is not better than Irving I will be  :barf:

i'm guessing he'll be about as good as gpc thinks irving was.

I hold out hope that he becomes a solid role player, but then I think about the fact that I don't want my point guard to be a role player, and I get all  :ohno:.

I'm still all  :crossfingers: though.

Wasn't he just a solid role player for his AAU and then Juco?  Seems unlikely he does better at the D1 level than he did there, you know?

Done Deal  :doom:

In all seriousness, I think the EMAW Elite offer for Diaz might be a stretch at this point. As far as I can tell, no other high-majors have offered him yet and it sounds like he's just starting to tap into his potential. He's a "young" SR to be as he just turned 17.

There was an update from about a month back indicating that Miami and Indiana were interested in addition to the news that Syracuse and Alabama are starting to look at him along w/KSU. So there is some interest from the big boys, I think everybody is waiting to see if he can consistently play at a high level because he has really been under the radar up until now.

We magically reappeared on Seagears' list, if there was an emoticon for "sigh of relief", I would post that here.

"Jerome Seagears is catching the most interest from Kansas State, Clemson, DePaul, Maryland, Rutgers, and North Carolina State."

FWIW, Seagears was named 3rd team All tourney at the Best Buy Summer Classic held in Minnie the past few days.

Heard from a VERY close source to the DC Assault program that Seagears might be as good as Cook. Not kidding. He just said Jerome is flying under the radar big time because of Quinn.

I sent J.S. a message on facebook, here was his response:

The competition at this position is very healthy to the program here at goEMAW.  Great work to both of you.
