**Lunatics running the asylum is what the NCAA has become. There should be a DEADLINE if they haven't PROVED anything by the start of the season....player gets to play. They've had what, over a year to clear this guy? wtf...even our government could get something like this resolved sooner.

Baby JaIT WOULD BE EXTREMELY INTERESTING IF: A super talented (one and done) player, hands down the top ranked player in the country, with absolutely no real issues, problems, or transgressions (CLEAN RECORD) is hung-up and prevented the opportunity to play because someone in the ncaa or elsewhere (the school missing out on his services) wanted and asked for a complete check on said player. Then about March the player is cleared to play, but his team (that was ranked #1 and picked to win it all) was just knocked out of the big tournament by 1 damn point prior to his joining the team. That player then brings a suit against the ncaa for deformation of character, loss of potential earnings, pain and sufferring, legal fees, etc., etc., for let's say $100 million. Furthermore, the university where the player was attending also brings a suit for loss of income to the athletic department, also to the tune of let's say $100 million. Just for a little icing on the cake, the fans also bring a class action suit against the ncaa asking for millions in damages.
Yeah, I know it sounds goofy, but it would be a hell of a lot of fun to watch that outcome. There would be law firms lining up for that showtime. And in this crazy world today, who knows???
