I may be totally wrong but Mrs. Witherspoon & Josh seem like good, honest people.  I just can't see them willingly participating in anything illegal.  I think it's nothing more than the guilt of association...you know, if it looks fishy it probably is.  And on that assumption the NCAA has pulled out the magnifying glass to make sure everything is okay.  Hopefully they will hurry things up for Josh & Coach Self's sake.

I agree that the NCAA will probably drag this out but nothing will come of it.

Online classes, intercession courses, etc.  There's all sorts of insane loopholes

he needs to be cleared academically in order to receive a scholarship.  probably needs to happen pretty soon (2-3 weeks) in order to enroll before whatever cutoff dates ku has.  the ncaa will almost certainly either yay or nay him before whatever ku's deadline.


he needs to be ruled an amateur before he can play, but he can accept a scholarship before he is cleared as an amateur.  so that ruling can take place at any time, there's no deadline.
