I used to use one of these every morning, it was nice because you could grind your coffee up the night before (Step one to good coffee precedes the machine, and its using fresh ground coffee) and fill up the mocha pot then put it in the fridge overnight. In the morning before i'd hop in the shower, i'd just toss that baby on the stove and by the time i was done itd be just about boiled out.
After a while the seal wears out and the metal container that holds the grounds can warp, so it doesn't work quite as well. I keep it as a camping coffee maker, to take backpacking.
Right now i've been an Aerobie Aeropress like my man 8pick. It just makes a damn good cup. A mocha pot is more similar to espresso and has more body, but the flavor profile of the Aeropress is just hard to beat.
Has anyone used a Bodum Bistro?
