I wouldn't lose sleep over them taking any of those being talked about as the top 5-6 QBs available other than Landry.  Do not want him.

Go for it.  If it doesn't work, do it again next season, etc.

Very sick of counting on someone elses loser turning into something other than a loser in KC.

Freeman had a pretty good season this year, and two years ago. The guy would fit perfect in Reid's system.  Freeman can go deep, and his talents are more threatening when the run game gets going.  Best of all, he is extremely durable.  Reid hasn't had a durable QB since McNabb's younger years.

Freeman would be a great get for the Chiefs, and even a non K-State Chiefs fan should agree with that.

martin went for over 1400. nearly 2000 total. they went 7-9.

I love Freeman, watching TB is one my top reasons for purchasing Sunday Ticket, but I can be honest that his not an  accurate passer in the NFL.  He can win a lot of games on a good team, maybe even evolve into the (half)Black Big Ben.

I just don't think his hometown team with a fanbase full of people that reveled in his college failures is a good place for him.

I want the Chiefs to take one of the Geno, Tyler Wilson or especially Tyler Bray group.  I think Bray has the best upside of all the QBs in this draft and could be great with a QB guru like Reid.

would take. not sure he's ready to step in yet though.. but i'd take the chance.

Would take Freeman the next couple of season, while the Chiefs draft Tyler Wilson or Bray and let him sit and learn a few years before being one of the best in the league.

Wasn't hard to talk myself into that.

This deserves a separate post:

If the Chiefs trade and get Freeman, get the QB they want in the 1st, and if AB is still on the board for the 2nd round, would they take him to play alongside DJamer?

I'm assuming we're keeping a 34 and there is no way AB could play in that.

It's needs to be said that Laundry Jones is a pud no confidence loser who shouldn't be drafted by the Chiefs.

I would like Freemaw, or maybe Alex Smith.

Read several articles about Bray and they all suggested that he was lacking it upstairs.

Need to draft barkley and give him a mechanical shoulder.  Should move now. He may object to this once he is healed.

this may be true but I he has phenomenal arm and I deserve to see that after the least ten years of noodle armed QBs.

You really have to question all the  intangibles and leadership of all the QBs in this years crop; none of them had much on field success this year.

No doubt he has the physical abilities to play QB in the NFL, guess he lacks accuracy and decision making skills.  Here is one article that pretty well sums up what I've read about him.  The Ryan Mallet comparisons are very common.  Guess take him in the second and let him learn behind a vet...  Though I don't think Freems would be the best guy for that job.

How big of a problem does he have with accuracy? Between arm strength, accuracy, and decision making, I'd take a QB that has the first 2 but is lacking in the third. Decision making is the easiest thing to fix, and can be. Arm strength isn't changing, which is why they shouldn't make a run for Alex Smith.

Decision making is pretty important, probably more so than arm strength, especially in a west coast offense.  How many deep throws are made per game?  Most of the rest of the throws that require elite arm strength are due to poor decisions.  Alex Smith doesn't have a great arm but its good enough for him to have been drafted 1st overall at one point.  Not saying Smith is any good but I'd rather have a guy who is careful with the ball over a guy with a very strong arm.

I'd rather the Chiefs draft Geno Smith, than give Freeman shot.   I don't disagree that Freeman might be the best free-agent or trade-able experienced QB, but rough ridin' NO one in the NFL gets rid of a decent QB.

The only reason I prefer him to Freeman is because he is better at being a quarterback.  I'm sure you have your reasons for liking Freeman, and you are entitled to them.

are you talking about the Geno Smith that threw for 143 yards against our defense?

Freeman had many similar performances in college.  That said, I want neither and if they are equal, neither is worth the #1

Wait, did someone just try to say Peyton wasn't good because his winning percentage went down in the playoffs from the regular season?  Just curious, because that would be Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)

I also had a good lol after reading that one.  Surprised nobody called him out on it earlier.

didn't say he wasn't good guys. he's the greatest regular season QB in history. but in the playoffs his post-season numbers, and more importantly, winning percentage drops significantly. among the elite QB's in history, only Marino has underachieved as much Peyton in the playoffs. when teams are counting on him to get them to the super bowl, which all these prospective teams are, it's noteworthy that he has a losing record in the postseason..

yeah bump.

things matt cassel and peyton manning have in common in 2012-2013 - 0 playoff wins

that dumbass got TWO return TD's and still effed it up
