10 minutes until Free Agency, Chiefs better have something cooking.  I was not a fan of letting Shaun Smith go today

No one will be unless/until they replace him with someone who is obviously better/more mean.

We need some help on the DL.

The Chiefs signed former Baltimore NT Kelly Gregg to a 1 year deal this morning. Decent pick up.

He brings experience and can mentor the young guys. I just hope this doesn't mean they think the young guys are the future of this interior d-line.

I expect the Chiefs to be back to their normal selves.

18 years since their last playoff win.

Only 11 playoff appearances since 1972, 3-11 in playoff games over that stretch.

Good to see that the Chiefs continue to reaffirm themselves as one of the worst Franchises in the NFL.

Seems like the Chiefs had the best record in the '90s.  (Or something like that.)  Kinda dumb to count them as among the worst franchises.

Didn't say they were great, just not "one of the worst ever."  Huge difference between your perception and reality.

Schottenheimer's impressive 101-58-1 regular season record (.634) made the Chiefs the winningest team (by percentage) of the 1990s.

They also have like the 12th best overall record in NFL history.   Once again, not great but also not among the worst.

Ya, I don't see Powe or Toribio being anything special. I still think we need to pick up another NT or DE.

The numbers don't lie.  In the last 39 seasons they've made only 11 playoff appearances, they are 3-14 in playoff games since the 1972 season, and they haven't won a playoff game since 1993.

What is it?  8 Super Bowl appearences for AFC West teams not named the Chiefs since 1972?

Mellinger's article yesterday pretty much summed up how lucky they Chiefs were last year and brought plenty of clarity to the beat down the Ravens put on them in the playoff game.

Agreed - I think they performed better than most expected them too. Weak schedule was certainly a large portion of that, but they did get notably better at several skill positions...IMO.

If the mental requirements of NT aren't too difficult for him, Powe could be a heck of a player. He's got the frame for it..

As an EMAW I would think being a Chiefs fan would be a rather natural fit.. Not sure what to make of dax using squawk logic here

The also "got better" at QB and WR last year.  Bowe was a terror the last 2/3 of the season and Cassell improved from one of the worst QBs to a middle of the pack QB.
