Peters playing poorly is maybe the most surprising thing of 2018 NFL season. I'm stunned by it, and I can't imagine how crazy people would go if he were playing like that on the Chiefs. People hated him on the Chiefs when he was an all-pro caliber player.

Exactly. A week ago, he gave all the reasons why KC is having more success this year and said this, "It's second year of that system + new rules + bad defenses league wide + Weapons + Mahomes. It's a perfect situation. He's one factor but not the main one."

1) Alex Smith had been with Reid for 5 years and knew our system extremely well.
2) While Sammy Watkins is a big upgrade over A. Wilson, that's the only noticeable change among our Skill players and have basically the same OL as last year. Last season we still had Hill Kelce and the leagues #1 rusher.
3) this year is such a perfect situation, that coming into the year, Vegas and Sports writers had the Chiefs as an overwhelming favorite to win the West and contend for the AFC championship. Oh wait, no they didn't. More people had the Chargers winning the West.

Yes folks, the guy who is the front runner for the MVP is just a factor, not the main factor for KC's #1 offense
