Showing emotion has never been an issue for KC fans. These fans embrace Salvy, Moose, Jarrod Dyson, Tony Gonzalez, Jarred Allen, Danny Duffy, etc and all are very openly emotional athletes, pretty universally liked around town.

There's a reason Clark Hunt isn't trying to trade domestic abusers, drunks, drug addicts, etc. They put on a good and likable face in public. Peters refused to change who he was in public to satisfy our expectations of black athletes. It may not be the last time he gets "fired" for this. I for one thought he was the most intriguing player on our team. I wish we would have had the balls to live with the discomfort he created for our management.

There are lots of players that don't want to be on their current team. If they're superstars on rookie contracts those teams don't give a crap about what they want though. No way that it was a factor in our decision to trade him.

in all seriousness wacky, peters was suspended for one game, and since then went on an absolute rampage on the field (even tackling ball carriers!), without any negative incidents on or off the field. his numbers are staggeringly good, like unbelievably good, and there are numerous positive stories about him doing good work in his community, his teammates seem to love him, etc.

when people resort to assuming it's about the kneeling, it's only because they're running out of other plausible reasons.

That's fine and I totally get it. I just can't stand the race baiters who are acting like that's all he was about (kneeling) and that's why they let him go. We just lost an All-Pro and i'm not happy about it. Ppl who bring up Hill are dumb as well. We gave Peters a chance after a rocky past, just like Hill. Totally different circumstances of course, but Peters has definitely been way more visible with his antics and Hill seems like he wants to write a new name for himself. I loved Peters passion, but sometimes it turned into selfishness, just like Kelce has done in the past of course. I think people were just ready for him to make a change and grow. Kelce did cut out a lot of his past crap this last year.
