i'm glad they resigned tamba hali but he's pretty old and has been injured a lot.
i hope he does a bunch of undetectable steroids -a ton of them, and has a good last couple years in the league [nfl]

Either the Ford pick was stupid, paying Hali is stupid, or Hali is accepting of sharing time now and being relegated to backup in the future while being paid as such. I would love to think that it's the third option but I doubt it.

a backup player in his 3rd year, unless a QB, with a 1st round pick is a crap pick.

He had 4 sacks in a lot less playing time as they guy who got 6.5. Granted that's just one metric, but the Hali contract could likely be the stupider move of the two.

No, but I like to have fun with my friend on this blog. Peters was a home run 1st round pick and Kelce was a steal. I like to focus on the victories over the defeats. I liked Gaines before he got hurt, who knows about DAT (even tho he got rookie of the year for the chiefs and was selected on the all rookie team by the nfl).

Well then Hali must have killed that guy when he played him....nope.

While he's been a bit disappointing, I just wouldn't declare Ford a bust yet. When a team drafts best available over need, even first rounders may have to wait for opportunities. I've also seen a crap ton of teams throw bad money at an aging player for sentimental reasons or paying them for past performance. Particularly given this group's draft track record, I think that scenario is at least as likely as Ford being a bust.
