Hey townie, your face proves it was a bad time to have a 5:16 minute drive by your dad to your mom!

not getting a single turnover, knile's fumble, and not scoring a single point when we got the ball on NE's 35 yard line were all much more detrimental.

if anything, going from down 2 TD's with 5 mins to go, to having a chance to recover an onside kick with 3 TO's left is good clock management. the problem is being down 2 TD's with 5 mins to go.

I think everyone can agree that regardless of how long that drive took, the Chiefs weren't winning the game if the didn't recover the onside kick. The only other thing that could have saved them was a flukey TO (which almost happened). Otherwise Brady would have dinked and dunked it for as long as needed.

yeah.. and honestly the way new England was driving the ball we had a better chance (even with time) of getting the ball back by an onside then our D stopping them for a 3 and out

if anything, having the ball going from down 2 TD's with 6 and a half5 mins to go, to having a chance to recover an onside kick with 3 TO's left is good clock management. the problem is being down 2 TD's with 5 mins to go.

FYP as your post left out details - that isn't good clock management, that is scoring a touchdown.

New England was by far, the better team. I'm not sure if they were if they weren't healthy, but you could see how good they were once they got everyone back.

clock management in the 1st half, spiking with :26 left on 1st down rather than running a play absolutely contributed to the loss

the offense sucked the majority of the day, and would have needed to be close to perfect to score 15 points in 6 minutes at the end of the game. it's weird how much people are still focusing on the clock management.

Maybe its because they were playing like they were ahead. Its not the reason the Chiefs lost, but to act like its not an issue is a too cool for school attitude that is dumb.

there are 3 issues more important than that (we covered them above) and it's annoying that people are foaming at the mouth about the #4 most important reason the chiefs lost while ignoring the other 3

no, it was horrible, and it totally is an issue. but i'm more on the level of 'our offense sucks too much to win that game' rather than focus on the last 6 minutes, which really was just a symptom of our offense sucking.

I don't think people are saying #4 is the most important reason but it was the stupidest and most frustrating.  The Chiefs have control over whether we run a hurry-up or not.

On second thought, a game plan that involved Knile Davis getting critical touches while not expecting fumbles is pretty stupid.

Even with "perfect" clock management, I think the Chiefs still lose.
