Looks like he comes with a fairly big cap hit, but a 5th for a player of his caliber is a great deal, especially with the Chiefs likely getting a few better picks when compensatory picks are awarded.

We are very similar to the Seahawks in everything that we do. It can work and the Broncos are deteriorating.

The Chiefs are good enough to make the playoffs, potentially win a division, but not to win in the playoffs and no way in hell they can make the super bowl. But even with Maclin, they're going to end up somewhere between 7-9 and 10-6. To compare them to the Seahawks is moronic.

It's not. Wilson's numbers are identical to Smith's. Also, both ferocious defenses. This team beat both teams that represented in the Super Bowl this year. They're not far off and they're adding onto what they had. I don't know how you wouldn't be happy about this? You can break up your "eff the chiefs and alex smith" routine every once and awhile.
