Bowe leaving gives me hope they will draft a couple WRs and one of them will be pretty good.

I would've liked Bowe to restructure to keep them from having so much dead money but all in all, I'm at least glad he's gone.

Also, I don't know why the Chiefs couldn't make the Super Bowl.  They should be improved from last year and their team last year beat both Super Bowl teams.  They are a long ways off from being a favorite to get there or anything, but they have enough pieces that its possible.

I enjoy that our coach and GM aren't tying to sell us on some kind of bullshit rebuild mode. If I have to watch Wildcard playoff teams while they wait for "their guy" to become available in the first round, I'm fine with that. As long as they draft their guy within the next three years. You can't wait forever. I think within five years of landing in KC it's reasonable to expect this regime to have the QB of the future, as long as the football is respectable in the meantime. If they don't pull the trigger on a QB in the first round at some point though, I'm probably going to quit being a Chiefs fan. I have determined to love again, but they have to reciprocate. I don't think I can go through another regime change, hoping that we'll finally draft a legitimate starting QB. Don't let me down, John Dorsey.

Minus Luck, can you guys name some super stud QB that's been taken in the 1st round in the last 5 years? Maybe the Chiefs office is smarter than the fans. :dunno:

Also, mention a qb that's been successful in the nfl that the chiefs could have drafted in the first round (draft position wise) that's been successful. Go past the first and Wilson is the most successful and he has Alex Smith numbers. :dunno:

So you want them to waste 1st rd draft picks on qb busts? I'd rather have a shitty LT that they can move around before a shitty Manziel. :dunno:

It doesn't have to be first round, they have second and third round picks too.

The numbers don't lie my friend. They're identical. Oh man, Wilson threw that one deep rope against the packers that one time in the playoffs after he turned it over 4 times.

They took Murray and Croyle and they sucked. It's playing the lottery.

teams that win super bowls win them with qb's that they draft.  I think they are on to something.  If you go back ten years I think new Orleans would be the only one who didnt.

That philosophy isn't working for other teams. Can you imagine the team that picks Jameis? They're mumped!

Dammit. You're throwing a wrench in my point. Flacco, Eli, etc. products of defensive teams.

Wacky's right guys. Best plan for the Chiefs is to keep this ship going in the direction it is. Its worked for 20 years now, so why adjust?
