Really, the Chiefs aren't that far from a championship roster. They just need a QB. The problem is, it's very unlikely that they will find one anytime soon.

They still had the best bullpen in baseball and very good starting pitching. That will always make you a playoff contender.

Growing up, they were the only KC team who at least gave me the excitement of the postseason. I love the Royals, but royals die hard fans love shitting on the Chiefs now, and it's so dumb. That's not true. Ever since the Royals finally broke through last year, there's been a weird dynamic between die hard Royals fans vs die hard Chiefs fans. It's been pretty weird. cf3, j-dub, you, etc. I'm super excited for the royals, but I don't know why that means people have to come over here and crap on the Chiefs. Have you seen cf3 in the royals thread when you talk bad about his team?! Woof! Either way, I do feel like the Chiefs have a lot of talent that is going to waste right now.

wacky everyone was talking crap on the royals too, until august 2014. when you suck people talk crap on you until you prove them wrong. your unbridled optimism is great and all but you have nothing to back it up. no stats, no adorable images, nothing trending upwards, nothing.

and when the chiefs finally do win a playoff game, you are going to be all "told you so" but it will be more of a broken clock being right twice a day thing than you being some sort of prophet. at least there were people who knew the royals had a window from 2013-2016 and were optimistic because of that
