How are we going to extend Chris Jones? He's my fav.  :ohno:
Hill is more than likely out long term.

Yeah, that is what I gathered from the trade.  Or, they intend to try to sign him on the cheap.  Not sure what the market will be and they are willing to take a wait and see approach

He will definitely survive the day as a Chief, and now the Chiefs will be able to sign him long-term for much less than they were about to pay him.  Maybe Clark Hunt called in the child abuse report.

Neither parent spoke up, which makes me feel like Hill did it. Fiance possibly covering for him, to protect their future or else why wouldn't Hill rat on her?

Advice from a lawyer so that his fiancée doesn’t have to go to jail?

I mean, yeah, but with his past, wouldn't she have a greater need to protect him vs her? His name is already tainted. You would think she would try and protect their future if she did it. I totally agree, just seems odd.

If he implicated her she would instantly blame him and it would be he said-she said where they both catch the blowback.

He is going to be cheaper now, no doubt.  And he may still get some kind of suspension from the NFL

Would have hoped so but cutting Hunt was a huge blow to that.  I'd say new Broncos

Chiefs are doing what any other NFL organization would do....nothing.  They only have to cover their ass if the video evidence gets shown millions of times across social media and news outlets.  This will be off ESPN's Top Headlines after today and will be forgotten about by most.  Hunt is gone for this reason (because he lied to the Hunt family).

I will actually be surprised if Chiefs/NFL suspends Hill at all.  Just like the investigation, they have nothing that proves Tyreek Hill was involved in harming a child (thanks to Overland Park's shitty police report).  This kid deserves protection, but the only thing being protected is Tyreek's career.

I just want to make clear that the DA did say a crime occurred.  Unfortunately, this was not an "accident" and/or "misunderstanding" like we all were hoping.

If they didn't do it yesterday, they're not going to. Unless a video surfaces.

They really should. I don't think they will, though.

They won't. Like 'stone said, they have leverage with him right now. They're going to try and make a run these next two years and then dump him. He'll probably live on the franchise tag if he stays around.

If anything, they might try and use him as trade bait to move up in the draft. I find the timing of the presser interesting. I wonder if the Chiefs asked for some type of deadline with the DA.  :dunno:

A crime occurred and Hill and his fiance are more concerned with protecting each other and their money than their child.
