got "Into The Wild" off of Netflix last night, really awesome movie.

read the book, it is a million times better than that trash movie.

It was very good, I agree,  Definitely worth renting/watching...which should be the point of these rough ridin' threads.  HOWEVER, the final gun fight could have been so much better (e.g. the one in Heat).  Still, worth it.

I saw True Grit tonight.  Damon and Bridges were a lot of fun to watch.  I was expecting more of a shoot'em up movie than it turned out to be, but that's okay, and in hindsight, I shouldn't have gone in expecting a "Tombstone"-like movie.  True Grit did it's own thing.  I hadn't seen the original, but the new one definitely had an old timey western feel to it.

I like the trailer for True Grit. I especially like it when the asks the dude how many people he's shot. and he responds "SHOT OR KILLED?!?" love that kind of stuff.

seen all.  i'd reverse the order.  tangled is very cute.  what i expected.  not sure what you expected, but i think big studio movies are completely predictable if you don't have your head up your ass.  in general, disney makes everyone else look like amateurs.

The dialogue made that movie for me.

When there was violence, it was graphic.  They didn't hold back.

I liked alpha dog but went in with zero expectations.

Public enemies was good, really well shot.

What aspect of tangled, exactly, did you think was superior to Despicable Me?

I thought that the "jokes" in Tangled were beyond hokey, and musical numbers (apart from the Goons number) were not just bad, but terrible, relative to past singing Disney movies.
