anyone check this gem out yet?

Quote
Ex-Groupon CEO Andrew Mason has never been one to follow the beaten path, so it only makes sense that once he got the boot from Groupon, his next move was to record a rock album.

Mason, who got the pink slip in February, has been spending his free time working on a seven-track album entitled 'Hardly Workin,' now available on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play.

Some song titles include "Groupon Farewell Memo," "Risin' Above the Pack" and "The Way to Work."

The album is based on Mason's time at Groupon and, he says, is meant to be a motivational album aimed at young entrepreneurs.

It's not a knock on Deltron. He was great.

Your man John Murry has a Kickstarter going.  The rewards are pretty fantastic.

Yeah, he's pretty ambitious, too. Hope he makes it.

The very end of the interview is just perfect.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Michigancat - I think I understand your point about the ambient-shoegaze movement. There certainly has been a heavy influx of it into a lot of modern bands, but it definitely isn't just either of those things. Would say its more of a dreampop movement than your traditional shoegaze ala Jesus and Mary Chain, MBV, Slowdive or Ride. Maybe if you are talking about bands like Whirr, but I don't think they are really par for the course...

I was invited to go to a show at Red Rocks this weekend by a guy who is friends with the band, Greensky Bluegrass. They told him they could take us beneath Red Rocks. I didn't fully understand what that meant. I said "no thanks" for a number of reasons and am only now realizing how great a mistake I've made. I'm so pissed at myself that I could cry.
