I think it's pretty safe to say that even Dipshit though the tariffs were going to tip into disaster.  I mean, why else would he be such a weakling and back off after gaining literally nothing from China?

Having dealt with government claims processing on behalf of family members . . . I find it very  that anyone can put a percentage on the speed or lack thereof of government claims processing.

In addition, I suspect that if the numbers play out, it's pretty much a few mouse clicks, and all the things people like Steve who are weirdly all angst laden about (while looking and sounding like old ass liberal boomers), are turned off.

I also very much appreciate the "that we can find" or "that we know about" angle of all this in light of the technical sophistication of our modern world.

I’d never heard of South Africa being a dangerous place until my wife and I met a couple on a work trip dinner this past September. They were both natives/born in SA, but moved to Germany in 2005 or so. We’re prob in their early to mid 50s at the time we spoke. I can’t remember any real specifics, but they were telling legit horror stories about how bad things had gotten in SA even then.

I’m talking barricaded windows, and extra locks/super strong security type doors inside the house, being mugged several times, etc. They definitely didn’t seem like the type to make up stories.

This wasn’t a big news story at the time of the conversation and it was pretty random how it came up.
