vote total only going to get worse.
option 1: Scalise lets Jordan go for as long as he wants while he keeps losing support then comes back in and saves it (I think this will be at least tried)
option 2: Jordan/MAGA holds fast and forces a shutdown, then get to name their price---will come back to this later
option 3: Jordan/MAGA hold but then panic as the deadline hits or realize that they are going to get betrayed by mods and so they go for option 1 or get
option 4: R's/D's let the speaker pro temp limp along doing the bare minimum
of these, obviously I am hoping for option 4, but I think 2 or 3 are more likely. I think 1 is more likely than 4 but less likely than 2 or 3.
Maybe I am being too pessimistic, but I think once Gaetz and co. saw how much power they could extract they are going to hang on. All the incentives are in the right places for them to hold until they force a crisis. Maybe that will go against them, and maybe there are enough R's that are sick of these people, but I bet we get weeks more of this.
