I think it's probably accurate to say "if you think you have a WFH problem, then probably more accurate to say you have a management problem"
It sounds like SD is an effective manager who has taken the correct tact for managing his people and therefore having ppl working remotely is not a problem. Probably fair to say in the case of the girl on the spectrum that she is probably a lot more productive working remotely
And dax to your point about decision making grinding to a halt...I guess I wouldn't know bc my day to day job responsibilities do not include making a lot of high level decisions, what % of your company does that? If you have that many people needing consensus to make a decision then, I dunno? Sounds like too many chiefs not enough Indians?
Or is it your assertion that since there are a small group of ppl who work better when they meet in person, that the entire company should have to do that? Bc that sounds incredibly dumb (in which case I can see why you think it's such a good idea!)
I might venture way out on a limb here and offer the theory that you could possibly be a stubborn old crank? A crank who is dead set in his ways, perchance? (None of the stuff you post makes me think that, I'm just going out on a limb.)
