Controlling the Borders is the Cover 2 defense of national security.

#blueanon political and bureaucratic apparatchiks clearly have no interest in controlling the borders.

Just a bump to remind everyone that one of #blueanongE's preferred future presidential candidates thinks our current immigration policies are insane.

Did he have an opinion on the border bill that was ready to go until Trump told them to not vote on it?

Please post a link to the border bill, so we can dissect it, and are you willing to discuss the fact that Dems purposely pushed the bill in the Senate so they could blame Republicans.

Ah, so the house didn't do any sort of governing per usual. Gotcha, thanks

That's not posting a link to the bill, and as expected, you're not willing to engage on the "put the Republicans on record" portion

Stupid Fitz - being more stupid than usual.

Any thoughts on Jamie Dimon calling the last (nearly) 4 years of Harris-Biden immigration policy insane?

Ok, I must have been misinformed and there apparently was no bill. Thanks for correcting me.

Whose job is it to come up with bills to debate and pass? Since the border is a disaster and our immigration policies are really bad, wouldn't the house put forth and debate a bill to solve said problems? I'm not an expert in governing like you, so maybe i'm wrong? :dunno:

So the border was/is a disaster? After 3.5 years of trying to tell everyone there was no disaster on the border. I admit, you guys are the greatest gaslighters in history.

I never said there was no bill, I asked you to post a link to the bill.

Components of the bill were ridiculous and everyone with a clue knows that there was no way that Harris-Biden were going to worry one wit about surpassing any thresholds on crossings, nothing was going to change.

(second request) . . . any thoughts on Jamie Dimon calling Harrs-Biden (nearly) 4 years of immigration policy insane?

I'm still confused on how government works apparently. I always thought everything started with the house. From what I understand, Rs are the most vocal people currently talking about a need to fix our current immigration policies. I'm somewhere in the middle and I agree with that. It's also my understanding that bills to "fix" such things get started with the house of representatives. I'm also of the understanding that there are more Rs than Ds in the house. I'm having a hard time understanding why the Rs wouldn't be putting together a super awesome bill that would solve all of our immigration problems together so it could be debated and sent to the senate?

You are way more knowledgeable than me on this stuff, so I must just be completely wrong on all of the above. :dunno:

1. Still completely avoiding the Dimon comments - as expected

2. Thanks for the I'm just a bill on Capitol Hill walk through

That doesn't at all discuss the partisan politics behind pushing the vote, and the dynamics behind why Pubs (and some Dems) voted against it.

We're dealing with an administration that EO'd the crap out of the border on day one, then came back after gaslighting us on the crap show at the border and tried to claim their hands were tied.

You are right. I should have asked these questions in a different thread. I honestly don't give a crap what Jamie Dimon says about anything. Regardless, would you like to bet all of our goEMAW points that a border bill will immediately get pushed after the election? I guess this is my point and why I don't follow and hate politics. The fuckheads in the house keep bitching about a thing when it's literally their job to come up with solutions to fix said thing. Yet, they won't do it because their master said not to and/or they don't want a solution while the other party has the white house. I think all of that is rough ridin' bullshit and if something really was a disaster, they should try and fix it. But i'm just a dumb dumb on a bbs.

Anywho, back to the coal mine. Have a good one Dax. Yes, this is me "tapping out". You win. 'grats

I appreciate the fact that Dems keep bitching about Pubs in Congress while completely avoiding and/or defending an administration who believed they had the executive power to act on the border right out of the gate . . . and then 3 years later the same administration tried to claim their hands were tied and they just couldn't do anything about the border crisis (that for 3 years prior, per them, wasn't a crisis)
