Memphis is the perfect location for everyone related to this saga.  Memphis is know to be aggressive recruiters and rumored to be more flexible on things other schools may not be as flexible on in the recruiting process.  So, our Admin and staff can easily dismiss Memphis taking him as "well, Memphis would take satan himself..."  Tomlin gets to play for a program that has good exposure, in a town that would be fun to be college student.

Heard an interesting rumor from someone who is pretty close to a lot of folks at KSU. Alledgedly Tomlin picked up a chick and took her home only to find out she was a he. He freaked and punched them in the face. Seems far-fetched but who knows. I agree that it sure seems there has to be more to this than simply a Univ. Pres deciding they wanted the kid gone.

People believe stupid crap on the internet everyday. Gary Parish, maybe most locked in college basketball beat writer, was on 810 two weeks ago giving air to ridiculous rumors started on KU twitter and message boards.

I know better but I hope that post was widely condemned.

This is from the Phog hoops board, so no condemnation. Mostly just mocking, although one of the worst KU fans online (Dr. J) said he heard a similar story, and he wasn’t joking (too dumb). Dr. J is a crazy person, tho.
