Chiefs have gotten in front of it better than other Native American mascot teams by partnering with Native American groups, but they will most likely face pressure soon to change their name from sponsors. They'll end up changing, sooner than people think.

What part of my post was lol? Saying that The Chiefs have worked to partner with Native American groups (they have) or that they’ll change once the pressure from sponsors heats up (it will soon)

The fact that you can talk to a small group of minorities that are intended to represent the entire group is laughable and uniquely "white people crap." On their own damn webpage they acknowledge that it's impossible to represent the thoughts and feelings of all natives, that group is simply to make people feel better about doing things we all know aren't appropriate. They used these meetings to get rid of the head dresses and face paint. They also do a Native American culture day, which is, looking at the pictures that the Chiefs provide, isn't on a game day, when the people who need to see it, actually can.

When I was at Manhattan high there was one native guy who said our mascot was fine and even drew the mascot (this is what I recall) and all the white people were like "welp, there you have it.  we are good to go!"

Maybe rowdy can confirm this vague recollection
