But really, the reason to care, if you are a fan of the institution that is the Kansas City Chiefs, is because it's that kind of stuff that could cause them to have to rebrand, like the "Commanders" (yuck) did.

Chiefs have gotten in front of it better than other Native American mascot teams by partnering with Native American groups, but they will most likely face pressure soon to change their name from sponsors. They'll end up changing, sooner than people think.
