It reminds me of 2003, Dr. Pepper, in Arrowhead. There was a crap load of Nubs at the game, supporting the Okies. It made me feel good that we got to eff up Nubs day twice that year.

Fun trip for sure. I'll be back later this month for Lecomte Stakes and next month for Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds if any of you Cat fans are into horse racing.

I found a new to me joint in FQ: Mr. Ed's. Lady friend and I threw down two rounds of chargrilled oysters and crab cakes. Also enjoyed some gumbo. Fantastic service on a busy afternoon.

Not a big fan of Dr Pepper the drink (huge fan of winning them) but they were handing these out for free as I left the game and I felt obligated to take one.

So I ended up with my phone getting busted immediately after landing and having lunch at Parkway Bakery (Willie Mae's was crazy and it was pouring). Fun stuff! Still was able to meet up with family and caught the lame ass pep rally and had a nice dinner at Mr Ed's and then walked from the hotel to breakfast to the Superdome the next morning. Then walked to french quarter and went to the voodoo museum and had a shitty dinner but still had a great time! What a setup! Can't wait to come back and like actually plan things.

Having been to the Fiesta Bowl (in Tempe), Alamo Bowl, holiday Bowl, and insight.com bowl, I can definitely say the sugar bowl is the best experience. Wish I could have made it to the parade!

I feel like I've truly rounded out my Louisiana experience bc I am now sitting on westbound I10 bc some bad person got in a wreck on this 20 mile long bridge where you shut the whole rough ridin' thing down if you get in a wreck. We're at mile marker 125.7 in case any other gE'rs wanna shoot the crap since we aren't going anywhere for a while

well actually it is pretty simple and i’ll explain it in non-engineering terms. a) build the vertical support tube things, then just pave the road over them and paint the stripes on the road and add speed limit signs

It's true that alligators are easy to outrun; their lateral speed is crap. So if you remember to zig and zag, you'll survive.

On the flip side, you can't really crack a knee like some dumb moose. And if you get those jaws locked onto you, you're a goner, unless you remember to poke the eyes.

Pythons are super pud. The trick with them is that once they start very slowly constricting you, just say, "Hey. Knock it off, pal."

Crazy (but also not really that crazy since there were a lot of taters on their way out of town at that time) but yes I remember that lady in the photo bc I was sitting on that same guard rail looking down the way

Back in the day, prior to the 97 Fiesta Bowl, black ice shut down I-10 for hours. There was a highway party for hours amongst the EMAW folks. totally forgot about it until now.
