You've mentioned Harris' lack of press conferences, a lot, so I'm sure you must have an idea of how many press conferences he did while a candidate when he wasn't the sitting president. Again, I don't recall saying press conference, but if I did that's a mistake on my part because you are correct, press conferences are not common during this process. Interviews of course are, or at least used to be.

Harris asked for a virtual meeting.  That's her sitting in a comfortable, controlled environment fielding softball questions from sycophants.  That's not even remotely close to stepping out on stage in an adversarial environment after just having to do deal with a group who wanted to fact check in real time.
