That widow fell right into look-at-me's plan, telling the newspaper about his condolences call.

10-D chess to not tell anyone he had repeatedly tried to call the widow but knowing she would go to the press and report it.  freaking dark Bran

The Republicans inviting the teamsters to the convention is surprising. Makes me feel a lot better about my straight ticket D ballots these past few years.

What is the logic behind using “childless” as a derogatory adjective for women?

Why the eff would someone who wants to be a  leader of a nation founded on the principle of freedom do that? What goes through your mind when you say that?

He thinks bearing children is the sole purpose that women serve in life.

I have definitely seen the argument from the right that people without children don't have an investment in future generations and therefore should have no vote in the present day.

JFC. Again, with these people who want to deny reproductive care, childcare, education, etc are bewildered that people are taking upon themselves to not do those things and then be pissed off that people aren't is insane.

As insane as denying people rights for where they are right now. Really, if that is their argument, then only women having kids should vote. Men, and women who can't/won't shouldn't be allowed. Which is all insane as well.

we should incentivize children and families more than we do IMO.  or at least try to ease the financial blow.

South Korea has pumped tons of money into this and their birth rate is still really, really low.
There is only so much govt policy can do to promote birth rates.

Hurt people hurt people. Anybody that is full of hate and needs to belittle and degrade others has unresolved trauma. It's going to be such a rough 4+ years of this. I fear we, as a country, will be beyond reform at that point. Sad.

I think we already incentivize them too much.

Free healthcare for all, and a massive stipend for child care would go a long way though.

My question is, do we really need more people on planet earth, or is it merely a means of facilitating capitalism? We seem to already do a pretty good job of using up resources and destroying our planet.

I'd imagine the average lifespan could increase quite a bit over the next couple decades with the recent improvements in cancer care and the revolutionary new weight loss meds (unless microplastics, global warming, or world war does us all in first).

100% agree, but what would actually work is making insurance far less expensive, making child care far less expensive, and making the wages of the working class and middle class go up substantially in a way that it resembles the 50's and 60's as far as relation to cost of living.

we have a ton of evidence that all of that is backwards.  what works is driving down wages, not educating people and not providing many govt services.  that and being very religious.
